Thank you for your interest in employment with the UW-Madison, Division of Information Technology. You had applied for the Identity and Access Management positions recently and were selected to move on in the recruitment process. Unfortunately, due to the State’s budget concerns, the positions have been canceled and will not be filled.
We wish you the best of luck in your job search.
That says it all, really.
So I didn’t bother staying up to watch the election returns last night, figuring that the results would be the same in the morning either way. When I thought “same,” I didn’t think I meant this:
… about who not to vote for.
Also, tomorrow (Tuesday, April 5th) is the spring election. Be sure to get out and vote. If you weren’t sure before, the contempt for Wisconsin’s traditions and values shown by Walker and the rest of the Republicans (like my Senator, Fitzgerald!) in the last couple months should drive home the point that elections do matter.
I don’t think any of you live in my area, so I’ll just say: if you live in Milwaukee Co. and want my opinion, I don’t know if I trust Chris Abele, but Jeff Stone’s an asshole who plans to continue where Walker left off. So take that as you will. You can hopefully find information on many (or possibly all) of your state/county/local races here.
And at 3pm, they started clearing the parking lot!

We should all be eternally grateful that implements of learning and productivity shall no longer menacingly plague our halls of justice: Suspicious Package at Milwaukee’s federal courthouse building found to be school supplies.
For those of you who don’t know, Paul Ryan is like a GOP rock star. I mean, look at this guy!
I’m a Democrat, and I’ve voted for him like 3 times (mostly because the people who run against him are less than ideal, but still a vote is a vote). After today, I think I’m going to vote fore him again. Read the rest of this entry »
Listening to the news for the past couple of months I have found it hard to believe how much crap goes down in Sheyboygan. What is meant by crap going down is cars flipping over in Drive-thrus, people chasing armed robbers (just to see them work), driving into convience stores, the mayor and his underhanded comments about his sister in law. These things do not really matter as far as I can tell when the Packer game is tonight. The budget in Sheyboygan has gone to hell and the mayor was to step down today but since the big Packer game is tonight and these things lose importance.
I bet a CE I know from Lodge that the bascule span of the James E. Groppi Unity Bridge (a.k.a. 16th St. Viaduct) was no longer in operable condition. I was half-right.
So I get home today and check the mail because I’m expecting some fabric. That rusty black box was a treasure chest full of wonders. Not only was there some fabric, but there was something really disgusting and stomach turning. Oh, and there was a spider too.
