Invitation to Installation

To all my friends, I invite you all to the Installation of Officers of Lake Lodge #189 for the 2011 Masonic Year.  I will be installed as the Senior Warden (like a vice president).  You are all welcome.  The Lake Masonic Center is at 1235 E. Howard Ave., Milwaukee, WI 53207.  The date is Saturday, December 11.  The time is 7 P.M.  Lake Lodge’s website is http://lakemasoniccenter.org.

      Awesome!

Thanks a lot for coming, Sean. I hope you had fun.

Please ignore the DeMolay and Jobies. They’re our youth groups and all the Lodge Members’ kids are in them so naturally they have to do stuff. I don’t have kids (and don’t like kids to begin with) so I tend to find DeMolay (boys) okay for serving dinner but the Jobies (girls) are kinda creepy to be honest.

Dress code for guests is dark suit for men, dresses or dark pantsuit for ladies.

Huh. Not been to a church with a dress code.

        Not a church. Masony stuff.

Oh. Duh. Don’t mind me. It was….well, it felt early. Or something. When I wrote that. Yeah…

            LOL

Oh! I figured it out. I didn’t actually notice the post, just the comments, and I thought it was your recent post about your deaconry.

Gotcha. Yeah there’s no dress code for First Lutheran Church. Esp. the Deacons – You do NOT want to see what Br. John wears under his robes in the summer…

          • #11 by Joshua on December 6, 2010 - 5:02 PM

(That being a reference to the fact that the Deacons’ albs are all wool while the Pastor’s new alb is cotton/poly. The Pastor doesn’t get sweaty during the service but the deacons are completely soaked after an hour and a half in a non-airconditioned sanctuary wearing a heavy wool robe.)
