A Suggested Festival

  1. I have a bottle of aged Doppel Bock in the fridge that needs to get drunk before June 30.
  2. Teh Table Peoples need to get together over the summer sometime.
  3. Thursday, June 24th is the Feast of St. John the Baptist, a Masonic holiday of sorts.

In consideration of the above topics, I propose having a Teh Gathering on or near June 24.  I propose we have it at Chad’s house in Oconomowoc but if that’s not possible, my house is always open anyway.  The idea is to play Chadowrun, Fluxx, Chrononauts, or anything else. Let me know what schedule or times or places or whatever is convenient for you peoples.

The Christa said that she got weekends off. Does that mean she’s coming to this Teh Gathering? It would be awesome to have her there.

Yeah, we worked it out, and she’ll be up to my place early enough for us to come out together.

        Yayy!!! Happy fun Christa time!

Hopefully, yeah. I guess her tent blew down in the storm last night (fortunately she was over here ’cause she’d forgotten her food for the week here), and for the other people at the site, I think only one tent was left standing. Some blew away, others got shredded and wrapped around trees. Branches down everywhere.

Wow. That was a lucky break. Sucks for the site peoples, though.

Beer Menu: In addition to the 64-ounce cobalt of bourbon barrel aged Sprecher Dopple Bock and fully stocked beer cellar, I have a few bottles of Sprecher’s normal fare:

    • Mai Bock – The official beer of Summer. A blonde German lager with clear, sweet malts and floral hops.
    • Black Bavarian – Sprecher’s first beer. A dark, malty-sweet, and heavy Bavarian lager.
    • Hefe Weiss – A cloudy light-colored wheat ale with distinct cereal sweetness.
    • Russian Imperial Stout – A deeply dark and heavy ale with bittersweet malts, giving flavors of strong coffee and dark chocolate.
    • Abbey Triple – A Trappist-style Belgian ale with oats and wheat. Has a unique tartness on top of the cereal sweetness of the Hefe-Weiss.
    • IPA2 – Sprecher’s India Pale Ale. A light-colored English ale packing a massive hop punch.

I also have cans of Roundy’s soda available in Cola, Cream, and Root Beer.

I’ll help get rid of the Hefe Weiss and the Abbey Triple. I prefer wheat beers. 🙂

Please do. They’re for sharing. Did Erin like her chocolate stout?

If anyone’s interested, I could pick out a bottle or two of wine to complement pizza. Red Zinfandel’s usually a good bet, and that Diana that I’d mentioned as well.

I certainly wouldn’t be opposed to that idea.

I thank at everyone for coming and sucking up all my beer. I enjoyed myself immensely and it was great seeing Kriz and meeting the newly-promoted Bjorn Girlfriend. I hope everyone enjoyed themselves equally much.

The Chad, please unsticky this now. Thanks!

Thanks for having us over and letting us drink your beer. It was a great time.
