Ruh?! But…waitaminute….

I was going through my spam folder to make sure I didn’t miss any legitimate email and I came upon a couple of doozies. All within the past week too.

But the televised announcement was really meant to divert attention from the Senate ObamaCare debate and votes on amendments this week.

I may be wrong, but, we’ve been in Afghanistan since 2001, and could potentially lead to withdrawing in 2011. Now, we were in ‘Nam from ‘69 – ‘75 with withdrawals starting in 1973.  Now, I wasn’t around for Vietnam, but they were fighting the Viet Cong, and now they’re fighting Taliban, both of which engage in guerilla warfare. The problem that we have in fighting guerillas is that our military is too bureaucratic. By the time we even consider something they’ve already thought about it, planned it, did it, and moved away from it. But anyways, in any event, I wouldn’t exactly go around proclaiming what a huge success we had there, because 1) we’re not winning and 2) it’s already like a freaking Vietnam and has been.

Though, I do think that the one of the reasons conservatives want this invasion to continue to be carried out is because the people are Islamic. Because, honestly, their ideology is “anti-modern”. If they were Christian, they’d be left alone because then they’d just be really really conservative people.

He is going to Copenhagen to save the Climate agenda and to announce his pledge that American businesses and citizens will reduce emissions by force if necessary.

Now that Barack Obama has bowed is head subserviently to dictators and royalty, he intends to sign a provisional carbon emissions target which would bring America to its knees.

Obama will dictate a 17% reduction below 2005 emission levels by 2020 and a 30% by 2025. The problem is there is no plan on how to accomplish this goal without rationing energy and punitively taxing Americans. Furthermore, there is no scientific reason to undertake these goals. “

Yes, because the president can sign whatever the hell he wants and it’s automatically binding upon the US. Erm..no. It has to be run by the Senate first, unless it’s not a treaty, then it has to be run by Congress to get a simple majority. Later on they go on to claim that this is socialism. That I can’t actually see. I wonder if they even know what socialism is. Now, if you think about this economically, if this is ratified worldwide, we have improved scales, we have brainpower, and we carry this out much better than most countries. Some countries may not be able to afford improvements and get pushed further behind so we could then pick up the slack. Meh.

“Senate Democrats Destroy Medicare

ObamaCare Votes Cuts Medicare Payments

Democrats voted Thursday to reject a GOP proposal by Sen. McCain to strip the package of nearly $500 billion in Medicare cuts, its most important source of financing. The amendment called for the Senate Finance Committee to revise Reid’s ObamaCare bill to exclude all spending cuts to Medicare.

Sen. McCain said that simply cutting the funding of one entitlement program to create another federal entitlement program would not constitute reform. Instead, hundreds of billions of dollars in new spending will be added to the federal deficit.

Over the weekend, the Senate also cut a key Medicare service aimed at invalids in an attempt to find the money to pay for ObamaCare. On a 53-41 vote, Senate Democrats cut $43 billion from home health-care services. Democrats insisted that they were cutting waste and abuse, but the end result will be less care for seniors.

Obama’s popularity has gone from 70% to 49% in the latest Gallop and Quinnipiac University polls. According to a new Rasmussen poll, an enormous 62% of voters are rejecting the disastrous single-payer plan known as Government Run ObamaCare. Yet Obama and Democrats lead by Reid in the Senate are determined to force Socialized ObamaCare on all Americans.

We all remember when President Obama stood in front of a joint session of Congress — and LIED. He LIED when he said they weren’t planning to set up "end-of-life panels" — his cronies have promoted the idea for a long time now. He LIED when he said his "reforms" wouldn’t insure illegal aliens — it has been clearly shown that there would be NO WAY to prevent this from happening. He LIED when he said that his "government option" health care plan would not force taxpayers to pay for abortions — the Obama-backed House bill would explicitly authorize the federal government insurance plan to pay for elective abortions and would explicitly authorize taxpayer subsidies for private abortion insurance. “

So….it’s okay to keep Medicare but not something that covers more people? Who knew? And is it really known as “Government Run ObamaCare”? I’ll not dispute the end of life panels, that’s already been sufficiently covered. There are restrictions so someone can’t get pregnant then just decide to go get an abortion because “abortion cannot be mandated as part of any minimum benefits package except in cases of rape, incest or if the mother’s life is in danger. However, health plans in the exchange or co-op would not be prohibited from providing abortion coverage.” Now, the alien thing, they’re getting torn up because they could potentially buy insurance. It would effectively leave it as it is now.

And lastly.

 

“Attorney General Holder aggressively detailed the Obama anti-gun agenda in Holder’s public statements before the Senate Judiciary Committee:

* Holder wants national, permanent gun registration system.

* Holder wants new federal authority to prohibit any person on the federal watch list (reported to be 400,000 names) from buying guns and supports confiscating guns from those on the list who possess them.

The latest Rasmussen poll shows waning support for stricter gun laws.

Among Americans polled, 75% said the Constitution guaranteed the right to own a gun. The percentage of "yes" answers was higher among Republicans (92%) and lower among Democrats (64%). Among others, 71% answered yes. And, 57% of those polled cited fear of increased government restrictions as the reason for a spike in gun sales.

Obama and the White House have now publicly joined Lautenberg as he seeks to ban guns from 1,000,000 US citizens on a secret FBI terrorist watch list.

Lautenberg’ bill S.1317 would give the Attorney General Holder the discretion to block gun sales to people on terror watch lists. We must defeat this bill from giving extraordinary powers to limit gun sales to the Attorney General.”

 

At least they’re not giving him more powers than he has. Now, as to the claims, I don’t know. I’ve been unable to find anything to verify or refute them. But, S.1317 has been sitting in committee since June 22nd. It’s dead.
