Come on Sheyboygan

Listening to the news for the past couple of months I have found it hard to believe how much crap goes down in Sheyboygan.  What is meant by crap going down is cars flipping over in Drive-thrus, people chasing armed robbers (just to see them work), driving into convience stores, the mayor and his underhanded comments about his sister in law.  These things do not really matter as far as I can tell when the Packer game is tonight.  The budget in Sheyboygan has gone to hell and the mayor was to step down today but since the big Packer game is tonight and these things lose importance.

While listenng to the radio this morning I found out that all meetings for Sheyboygans political authority have been cancelled.  Now I know this does not seem to be a big deal to most, but with all of the turmoil that has arisen over the past couple of months I wonder how the community is even functioning.  The mayor has said things that got him in a bit of trouble.  These things were both underhanded and really rather rude.  Follow that by since this video surfaced a former employee of office of Sheyboygan has come forward saying that she was called upon for sex and when she didn’t agree lost her job.  This is only the ice berg like I said earlier someone felt as though following the police a couple days after trying to research the pattern of robberies drove through a gas station store.  Now this might not have been that drastic but the person driving was not actually in the drivers seat and could not stop the car hitting the clerk killing her.  A janitor working at a daycare center was left with some children for around 20 minutes because the person in charge was running late.  Parents called and asked if it was alright because they had to go to work.  Later in the night it was found that the janitor had touched some of the kids inappropriately.  This was around to weeks after the place had opened and now it is closed.

Normally I don’t care about other places, being a simple person.  These occurrences I can’t stand.  You need to look at the big picture, Sheyboygan, not only does this make you look like crap but it also makes our state look like crap.  The fact that fixing the problems does not seem to be important enough to skip the Packer game or even move it to an earlier time just pushes my buttons.

Well we don’t usually make the real news. And the real trouble is mostly the leadership at the PD.

For as long as there’ve been people there’ve been politics, scandals, and other things. While I think we should hold people more accountable for their actions, I also think that it’s wrong to think that people are infallible.

With that said, it’s easier to tackle problems head on rather then wait until they snowball into something bigger.

I understand that throughout time there have been a multitude of political scandals and that is not the point. What I am referring to is that whenever I go turn on the news (not that that happens all the much) the news regarding Sheyboygan is never anything good. It is always some sort of weird occurance that makes you wonder why Sheyboygan has not been quarintined. That is the point i am trying to make

My point was actually that they let it go too long. If it goes on too long it becomes ingrained and grows. Why would they care now? Besides the news coverage, they haven’t cared before and have no reason to care further on.
